Today I tackled my scroll of tasks with joy. I love a task list. My house was quiet, kids and husband at the ballpark, I was alone to be with my thoughts. While sweeping off the fall leaves off my deck I realized my wind chime was tangled. The piece that balanced the chime was missing and the chimes were twisted. How long has the chime been tangled? I had not even noticed the silence outside my door. As I slowly untangled the chimes I realized how easy it is to get tangled when out of balance. How many times had my life gotten out of balance, the stuff of life twisted and the chime (or joy) silenced. How did I bring the chime back? Find the balance (which for me is my personal relationship with the Lord), work on untangling the stuff as the chime came back. Wind is what creates the motion that causes the pieces to connect, making the chime sound. Wind is the “stuff” of life that moves us to and fro. Too much wind is not a good thing, too little wind brings no chime. I’m waiting, patiently to hear my chime again … and searching my life to see where I might be out of balance, where the stuff has gotten twisted and the joy has been silenced.

Are You Making a “Big Impact”

Mordecai Three Finger Brown
I’m so honored to be associated the Mordecai Brown Legacy Foundation. My life has been steeped in baseball. My grandmother, Beth McIlraith Henoch was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan wanted me to love the game as much as she did. Her enthusiasm as a spectator fueled my passion for the game.
If you love baseball, you will want to get a copy Mordecai Brown story and visit the website to learn more.

Knock their Socks Off!
Please help a great family in need!
My friend Erica and her 3 beautiful children lost all their belongings in a house fire while living with relatives in New York. She and the kids are back in Raleigh to start their life over. They need a lot of things for their new home (working on finding a home now) but I know as my friend you will want to sow into their lives! They are currently living in an extended stay hotel. Erica has a job (yea) and the kids are enrolled in school. They are members of Living Word Family Church.
(I know a few have asked if the house was insured. It was insured and all of Erica’s belongings were accounted for by the insurance adjusters in the damage assessment … however, the person who owns the house, as of this writing, has stated they will not be providing Erica with any money from the insurance settlement. We believe that this person’s heart will be transformed and they will provide Erica with a financial settlement equal to what she lost in the fire. In the meantime Erica and her children are in need of the simple basics to start their life over here in Raleigh.)

Tick Removal
Got this in an email from a friend … sounds good, thought I’d share. My husband got a tick bite last year that resulted in having to take antibiotics for Lyme Disease. I could have used this info then to remove the little “sucker”.
Here is a good way to remove ticks off you, your children, or your pets. Give it a try. Don’t try to pull them off by hand or using some tool. It could leave the head and then you really have a problem.
I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best way to remove a tick. This is great, because it works in those places where it’s sometimes difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark hair, etc.
Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball, cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away.
This technique has worked every time I’ve used it (and that was frequently), and it’s much less traumatic for the patient and easier for me.
Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can’t see that this would be damaging in any way. I even had my doctor’s wife call me for advice because she had one stuck to her back and she couldn’t reach it with tweezers. She used this method and immediately called me back to say, “It worked!”

Need a little favor?
Here is a favor confession I use which I thought I’d share today:
Favor Confession
Father, thank you for making me righteous and accepted through the blood of Jesus. Because of that, I am blessed and highly favored by you. I am the object of your affection, Your favor surrounds me as a shield and the first thing that people come into contact with is my shield.
Thank you that I have favor with you and man today. All day long, people go out of their way to bless and help me. I will have favor with everyone that I deal with today. Doors that were once closed are now opened for me. I receive preferential treatment and I have special privileges. I am God’s favored child.
No good thing will He withhold from me. Because of God’s favor my enemies cannot triumph over me. I have supernatural increase and promotion. I declare restoration of everything that the devil has stolen from me. I have honor in the midst of my adversaries and an increase of assets – especially in real estate and an expansion of territory.
Because I am highly favored by God, I experience great victories, supernatural turn-rounds and miraculous breakthroughs in the midst of great impossibilities. I receive recognition, prominence, and honor. Even ungodly authorities grant petitions to me. Policies, rules, regulations, and laws are changed and reversed on my behalf.
I win battles that I don’t even have to fight because God fights them for me. This is the day, the set time and the designated moment for me to experience the free favors of God that profusely and lavishly abound on my behalf.
In Jesus Name, Amen

Chosen People
I LOVE this website and the video on the homepage. It tells a story. The website does not pander to the reader but offers a clear direction. The site map is excellent. The content is relevant. The story is personal. The commission valid. The video and music compelling.
